A rapidly expanding FinTech company is seeking an experienced Senior Payments Manager to join their team.

Senior Payments Manager

Location: London with some travel to Cambridge

Hybrid

Role Responsibilities:

Ensuring accurate and timely payment processing to partner banks and clients, managing internal transactions, and overseeing the team’s daily operations, escalating risks as

needed.

Mentoring team members, fostering a knowledge-sharing culture, and driving operational improvements.

Updating procedures for new products, reviewing daily reconciliations, and addressing issues with root cause analysis to prevent future errors.

Checking accuracy of team members' work, managing workload, compiling interest and fees, weekly reporting, and identifying process and technology improvements to enhance operations and team development.




Requirements


7+ experience in payments and managing a team, ideally from an ecommerce or

Payments company

Processing of payments, Faster Payments, Chaps, Currency Payments

Knowledge of interest rates, calculations and process changes.

Good Excel skills


Desirables

Good knowledge of the clearing and settlement cycles for UK domestic payment schemes

Understanding of PSR/PSD2 rules

Changes required for Financial Services firms to comply with APP rules and CoP
