We are seeking a dynamic Change Manager to play a pivotal role in the exciting integration of two institutions following a recent merger. Join our Change Support Unit and help shape the future of our organization by leading strategic change initiatives that enhance both the student and staff experience.


About the Role:

As Change Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of the change management plan to achieve key milestones in the integration process. Your focus will be on the people side of change, managing impact assessments, readiness, and cultural integration. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, project managers, and integration teams, to ensure a smooth transition and build a unified, engaged community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead change-related activities to deliver the post-merger Integration Plan.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies that maximize employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate change management into the overall plan.
  • Monitor progress, adjust strategies, and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training and development sessions to support staff through the transition.
  • Identify potential risks and develop plans to mitigate resistance.
  • Coach and support senior leaders and managers in adopting new ways of working.


What You’ll Need:

  • Essential: A first degree or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., Prosci/APMG) or significant relevant work experience.
  • Essential: Proven experience in managing change in mergers or large-scale transformations within complex organizations.
  • Desirable: Experience in the higher education sector or public sector (e.g., NHS).
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
