What you will be doing

As a Practice Nurse, you will support the Mental Health service for people to build a brighter future, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork.

Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will support and encourage service users to improve their physical health and will be responsible for risk assessments, liaising with our GP service, supervising junior staff and implementing screening processes.

No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.

This is 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.

To be successful as Practice Nurse, you’ll need

  • RGN experience
  • Relevant nursing qualification
  • NMC registration
  • Experience in a similar environment.
  • Evidence of clinical practice development

Location: Pinhoe View, College Way, Exeter, EX1 3PZ


Pinhoe View is a new purpose-built facility where a range of mental health services are provided for adults with acute mental health conditions across two wards and eight individual flats.

The 24-hour acute inpatient service is supported by a full multidisciplinary team, which specialises in the assessment, treatment and stabilisation of people suffering from a significant mental health episode and in crisis
