An exciting opportunity has arisen within Exeter Neonatal Unit for a Clinical Practice Educator. We are very proud to have been awarded Gold standard by UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative and achieved Platinum BLISS Baby Charter accreditation. You will be required to provide essential and developmental education, whilst supporting mandatory training compliance. The post holder will also be expected to play a pro-active role in quality and service improvement working closely with the Clinical Nurse Managers and Clinical Matrons for Paediatrics and Neonates. Successful applicants would need to balance all aspects of the role including the teaching of all levels of Neonatal Care. Planning Essential Training Days and communicating with The University and Neonatal Network. 

We are looking for a charismatic and engaging individual with adept interpersonal skills who can connect with the Clinical Nursing team at all levels, and support cultural/ behavioural changes to ensure further progression in the delivery of our service, providing the best possible care for babies and families. A large part of the role will be clinically-focused and will include teaching and training to develop a strong and quality workforce.

Working Pattern: hours per week

Interview Date: To be confirmed

Pay:  The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 4-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 4. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 4 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 3-4 pay bandings ().
