Job Title: Clinical Practice Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Practice Lead to join our team at Belvedere Ward, Franklyn Hospital. As a Clinical Practice Lead, you will play a key role in supporting practice standards and patient and carer experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Ward Manager in overseeing standards of care and maintaining practice standards.
  • Ensure the delivery of high standards of nursing care to all service users in accordance with evidence-based professional practice and Trust policies.
  • Organize and maintain regular staff meetings and participate in nursing or multi-disciplinary meetings or discussions as required.
  • Work in partnership with all health and social care professionals to maintain effective communication that benefits the wellbeing of patients and their families.
  • Have an ongoing awareness of clinical risk and advise and lead clinicians on actions to be taken to respond to risk.
Person Specification:
  • Experience as a band 5 in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of audit and quality improvement work.
  • A good understanding of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act / DoLs.
Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
