Job Title: Clinical Practice Lead

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Practice Lead to join our team at Belvedere Ward, Franklyn Hospital. As a Clinical Practice Lead, you will play a key role in supporting practice standards and patient and carer experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Ward Manager in overseeing standards of care, maintaining practice standards, promoting change and developing nursing practice and audit.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high standards of nursing care to all service users in accordance with evidence-based professional practice and Trust policies.
  3. Organise and maintain regular staff meetings and participate in nursing or multi-disciplinary meetings or discussions as required.
  4. Work in partnership with all health and social care professionals to maintain effective communication that benefits the wellbeing of patients and their families.
  5. Have an ongoing awareness of clinical risk, advising and leading clinicians on actions to be taken to respond to risk.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a band 5 in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of audit and quality improvement work.
  • A good understanding of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act / DoLs.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
