Support the growth of a DIY brand as they look to expand into more big-name retailers


THE COMPANY

A DIY brand with offices in the UK and Far East. This year they are celebrating their 25th year in business and off the back of recent success they are keen to invest and grow the retail national accounts area of the business further – an area with huge potential for growth. They are looking to recruit a National Account Manager to open doors with big names in retail.


ROLE

  • Proactively identify and establish new business opportunities with major national retailers.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aimed at expanding the company's footprint in the retail sector.
  • Lead efforts to establish new accounts by engaging key decision-makers at major retail chains. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships. Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations with major retailers.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement strategies that drive growth, enhance market presence, and increase revenue.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance.


ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced National Account Manager / Business Development Manager with proven success developing business with major DIY and general merchandise retailers. You will have the drive and ‘hunter’ mentality to open doors. Ideally, you will have a background in DIY, Car Care, Garden or other related product areas that are stocked with these retailers are welcome. Willingness to travel as required to meet with potential customers and attend industry events.
