Description of the Role

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for driving growth and ensuring compliance within assisted sales channels. This role requires an individual adept at building strong relationships with senior channel leads, area leads, and team managers to support their efforts in selling mobile phone insurance. The RAM will provide strategic planning, training, coaching, and share best practices to enhance sales performance while maintaining sales quality and compliance.


The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented with a keen instinct for understanding and conveying ethical best practices. Candidates should preferably reside in the North of the United Kingdom, able to attend face to face meetings across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Northern England, though travel to other regions may be required. This is a remote-based role that involves regular travel and overnight stays, with occasional visits to our Head Office in London.


The RAM will be part of a nationwide field team and have no direct reports.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Core Responsibility

The RAM will:

Take ownership of sales and compliance targets within the region, proactively informing the Business Growth team of any barriers to success.

Analyse channel performance reports and adjust schedules to maximise growth opportunities.

Foster strong, authentic relationships with key stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with the Regional Account Manager field team to share best practices.

Design and implement regional initiatives to meet client expectations and drive growth.

Deliver relevant, impactful training to sales teams, setting objectives, defining behaviours, and encouraging activities that promote compliant mobile phone insurance sales.

Articulate client-specific features and benefits of mobile phone insurance.

Attend and deliver executive overviews at client meetings.

Manage scheduling effectively to minimize administrative tasks, maximizing time spent in region and building stakeholder relationships.

Submit detailed feedback reports for all client interactions, contributing to Asurion’s centralised repository of channel support activities.

Assist in the development of the client's sales strategy and execution.

Protect and enhance Asurion’s credibility with clients, ensuring seamless alignment with client expectations.


What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all leadership levels.
  • Experience in delivering formal training sessions or presentations.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems with innovative strategies.
  • Extensive experience engaging with teams and leaders across all organisational levels.
  • Skilled in analysing and interpreting data to inform action planning.
  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).


Qualifications/experience required

2+ B2B or outside account sales management experience.

2+ years of retail store/area/regional management experience.

Training, coaching and influencing skills.

Experience of working in a regulatory framework (desired).

Experience of insurance and telecommunications (desired).


Requirements

Driver’s license essential.

Role requires travel across a large geographical area including visits to London.


Employment type

This role is a 12 month fix term contract for maternity cover with a competitive salary, bonus and car allowance
