About the Role:

As a Key Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important customers across the UK. You will be responsible for driving account sales growth and achieving strategic account objectives, ensuring that all key account activities are coordinated and aligned with the company's goals. This position requires extensive travel to meet with clients and stakeholders, providing a dynamic and challenging environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Proven experience in key account management, preferably within the ophthalmic lens industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial and business intelligence to identify and leverage new business opportunities.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
  • Education: Academic degree in a relevant field (medical, scientific/technical, or business).



Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service and Acquisition: Manage and acquire new customers, including private hospital groups and key accounts.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve budget and growth targets.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at strategic accounts.
  • Business Reviews: Conduct quarterly business reviews to identify opportunities and share key account information.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead contractual negotiations with key accounts in partnership with senior management.
  • Market Insight: Provide strategic guidance and insights to internal stakeholders for new growth areas and business development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and business intelligence teams to ensure a coordinated approach.
