The new Business Development Manager is central to developing new business, mainly from new customers. Working closely with Account Managers in the business, the jobholder will work closely with Account Manager to nurture successful, long-term customer relationships.

The opportunity:

  • Take the lead role in the development of lead generation for the company, through consistently understanding the business needs of prospects.
  • A key stakeholder in the proposition development in B2B & Commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Pro-actively responds to the requirements of prospects through the qualification process, and through the development of proposals and quotes, (including from project specification stage wherever possible), and following these to their conclusions as appropriate
  • Regularly review the overall sales pipeline with the sales team – to understand trends, and ensure the best possible approach to conversion, customer onboarding, and development of customer accounts
  • Work closely with colleagues in the design and delivery of events and other activities to support sales campaigns; to include exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, trade shows etc.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • Experience of pro-active Business development and related activities is essential.
  • Experience of working with customers on a B2B basis in the automated door industry, or another technically focused industry, is essential.
  • Experience in using a range of ERP and CRM systems is essential.
