Overview
Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Business Development Manager, for our client based in the heart of the South West, who is a leading supplier of the freshest, locally sourced fish and seafood in the UK. Their BRC AA* grade-certified facilities assure customers of their commitment to quality products and services. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with customers, building long-term trust and rapport by offering solid solutions and ideas to meet their business needs.
- Identify opportunities using a variety of resources and strategic questioning techniques to find gaps within the existing ledger.
- Maintain a detailed and updated working pipeline document of all prospective business.
- Provide accurate and timely information and feedback to management and other business areas to ensure continued service excellence and growth opportunities.
- Report monthly on sales performance and future plans, implementing action plans where necessary.
- Follow good management practices and all processes to ensure the health and safety of employees and customers.
Qualifications
- Passion for food, particularly seafood, with hospitality industry knowledge; seafood experience is a great advantage, though sales experience is not essential.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and the food industry.
- High level of professionalism while remaining personable and approachable.
- Collaborative and hands-on approach, driven by excellent customer service skills.
- Analytical methodology to seek out and optimize growth opportunities.
- Valid driving license and ability to work across the region as required for customer base; must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
