We are working with an Ofsted registered home for children and young people who have trauma histories and present with emotional and behavioural difficulties.


Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Registered Home Manager. As the Registered Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people. You will manage a team of care staff, develop care plans, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment. This is an on-site role, and you will be based in London.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Within the last 5 years, you will have worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children
  • You will have worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care setting
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Experience in budget management and financial control
  • Understanding of the needs and rights of residents in a residential care setting
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification (or willing to work towards this)
  • Working knowledge of the 'Children's Homes Regulations (2015)'
  • Working knowledge of 'Working together to Safeguard Children (2023)'
  • Working knowledge of therapeutic parenting and PACE (desirable, although training will be provided (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy)
