Job Title: Dual-Registered Children's Home Manager
Salary: £55,000 plus bonus
The Recruitment Crowd has partnered with a small, family-run service that provides high-quality accommodation, care, and support to children and young people in their communities. The owner has a background in social work and is seeking an experienced registered manager to strengthen the leadership team and become registered with Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the children's homes and ensure that it meets the expectations and standards as set out in its Statement of Purpose.
- Ensure that the home is consistently meeting standards set by the company and legislation (the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, for example) and that the home is continuously operating within the Ofsted Registration criteria.
- Confidently lead the home through any external and internal inspections and audits.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and ensure that the home remains fully compliant with all legislation, particularly that set out in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, including the Quality Standards.
- Ensure that the company's policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively.
- Develop systems for the efficient administration of the home and ensure that the fabric of the home, equipment, appliances, and grounds are maintained to the highest order in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
- Be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, schools, health, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- Actively promote the home's equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice policies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years working as a manager within an Ofsted-regulated service.
- A full UK driving license.
- A clean DBS.
