Director of Product Marketing

About the role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and strategic leader to fill the role of Director of Product Marketing. You will lead our company in new ways of talking about our products as we move from being one product to a portfolio, driving strategic product positioning and successful launches within the SaaS landscape. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing product, digital, and content marketing initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally to develop effective go-to-market strategies and engaging content. We seek a leader, adept at crafting compelling narratives and ensuring alignment with business goals, to elevate our market presence and drive innovation in this key leadership position.

Your responsibilities:

Here's a bit more on what you can expect to be doing day-to-day:

  • Product Marketing Strategy & Execution - As Sedna continues to expand its product portfolio and roadmap, work cross functionally to develop and execute our product marketing strategy.

  • Marketing Strategy - Develop and execute comprehensive and innovative marketing strategies to support the company’s growth objectives, establish a strong market presence.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy - Define target markets, customer personas, and go-to-market strategies for new products, driving customer acquisition and revenue growth through effective demand generation campaigns, lead generation activities, and sales enablement initiatives.

  • Analysis and Optimisation - Track, analyse, and report on key marketing metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and ROI.

  • Leadership - Lead the team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive individual and team performance.

About you:

We think you’ll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • 10+ years experience in marketing with 5+ years of that being specialised in Product Marketing.

  • You have managed a team, you can develop, inspire and lead.

  • Evangelical Product Marketer - It’s easier to edit something than it is to create a new narrative, you are excited by the challenge that comes with working with a new product and can use your knowledge to build a new way of thinking about and communicating our story.

  • Data-driven decision maker - You use an analytical mindset and utilise data to inform, communicate and validate your decisions.

  • Expert Operator - you utilise strong organisational and project management skills, to design and implement best-practice strategies and manage them successfully.

  • Empathetic and influential- you can build high performing teams by creating a supportive culture based on mutual trust. You see the big picture of where Sedna is heading, and you design and implement ways of keeping your team and stakeholders informed, aligned, and inspired on that journey.
