We are seeking a dynamic leader to head up a high-performing team of Business Development Managers, driving growth across the region, with a focus on Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs). The successful candidate will need a deep understanding of Pensions, Investments, and Protection products, along with experience in managing remote teams.


About the Role: As part of the Regional Distribution Leadership team, you will lead the strategy for your area, building strong, impactful relationships with financial advisers to deliver sustainable growth through the promotion of our market-leading pensions, investments, and protection products.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and inspire a team of Business Development Managers to achieve new business growth and retention targets, expanding our reach within the financial advisory market.
  • Design and implement innovative sales strategies and initiatives to meet ambitious objectives across Pensions, Investments, and Protection products.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company risk policies and frameworks, ensuring compliance at all levels.
  • Leverage a solid understanding of the commercial landscape to drive both profitable new business and retention of existing partnerships.
  • Manage and support a dispersed team of Business Development Managers, providing leadership and direction in a remote-working environment.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development for your team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Serve as a senior sponsor for key external relationships with intermediary partners, nurturing strong, productive collaborations.


About You:


  • Proven track record of leading sales teams in a fast-paced financial services environment, with a strong focus on IFA relationships.
  • Expertise in Pensions, Investments, and Protection products is essential.
  • Experience managing and leading remote teams is critical for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A strong commercial acumen and experience in driving new business growth and customer retention.
