Are you looking for something new? We have a Youth Support Worker role that could be just the thing you are looking for.....

You will be working within residential settings that support children and young people, developing their life skills to better equip them for their futures - Working alongside a team of experienced support staff you will display empathy, patience and understanding of the resident's needs.

As part of your daily role, you will:
  • Display a commitment to teamwork to ensure that the service is running safely and efficiently.
  • Develop professional relationships with the residents to keep them engaged and active.
  • Handle challenging situations in a calm and effective manner.
  • Provide emotional support as and when required.
  • Engage in activities with the residents
  • You will be working 2-3 shifts per week with hours between 08:30 to 22:00.

To be suitable for this role, you will need:
  • A full and up-to-date CV
  • NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in Residential Childcare
  • A Enhanced DBS issued within the past 6 months or registered on the update service (The DBS must contain checks against the Children's Barred List information")
  • Valid mandatory training certificates (ie. safeguarding vulnerable children etc)  
  • A minimum of 3 months referenceable experience working within a residential childcare supported-living service. 
*Please note that if you do not have up-to-date mandatory training certificate or DBS certificate, we can assist you with this.

You will be paid between £12.00 to £12.50 per hour, depending on the days worked.

The role may present permanent opportunities based upon performance over 12 weeks.
