Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join their team. As a key member of the care team, you will provide high-quality support and guidance to young people, helping them develop the skills needed for independent living.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish a positive and respectful environment, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being among residents.
- Collaborate with the care team to meet placement plan objectives, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
- Maintain and improve home services, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Encourage residents to take responsibility for their actions, promoting self-awareness and personal growth.
- Participate in key working sessions and residents' meetings, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization within the home.
- Manage challenging situations effectively, prioritizing the safety and well-being of residents.
- Attend and contribute to meetings regarding residents' progress, providing updates and insights.
- Complete high-quality paperwork for meetings and updates, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to engage residents in meaningful activities, promoting social skills and emotional intelligence.
- Motivation skills to help residents meet their care plan targets, driving positive change and progress.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to the role.
- Physical fitness for household chores and restraint procedures, prioritizing the safety and well-being of residents.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and complete a QCF Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare within a year (funded) or ideally already hold this qualification.
- Driving license is desirable, enhancing mobility and flexibility within the role.
