Signature are partnered with an FMCG sleeping giant who have a unique culture (in a very good way) and operation which would see you play an instrumental role in the UK in enhancing their proposition in Grocery Retail. This is a global FMCG company who manufacture a number of food brands that have strong heritage in various countries and are now looking to appoint a Senior National Account Manager to take accountability for two of the Top 4 MULTs.

As a Grocery Senior NAM, you will report into the Sales Director (who is one of the most inspiring and motivational sales leaders in FMCG may I add) working as part of a wide sales team in the UK, responsible for achieving budget net sales performance and margin contributions across two key retailers.


This is a role that won’t be for everyone though. There is HUGE opportunity here and a role which is highly visible. To succeed here you need to be someone who questions the status quo, pushes for what’s possible, works at pace and someone who continually seeks to raise the bar.

Time to make an impact then

Main Tasks:

  • Tailor strategy for your Grocery customers in line with the overall channel plan. These accounts could easily be triple the size they are now if not more – the world is literally your oyster
  • Formulate extensive account plans, responsible for P&L growth and devising, implementing and delivering on JBPs.
  • Build a robust sales forecast for Supply Chain management by establishing the base and planning the promotions on top.
  • Develop customer insight and selling stories in line with category and trade marketing using various data sources.
  • Monthly reporting to the business with a thorough update of account developments which includes sales trends, market shares opportunities and any other factor affecting the business.



To succeed in this position you will need to have a strong and well rounded understanding of Grocery retail whether that be across the Top 6 MULTs or Co-op maybe. This is about understanding the complexities of Grocery, fluctuations, buyer relationships and how to get business over the line. In addition to this we’re looking for the following traits and characteristics:
