About the Client:

Our client, is a leading producer of high-quality beverages, known for their innovation and commitment to excellence. With a diverse portfolio of products enjoyed by consumers nationwide, they are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Account Manager to join their team and drive growth in key accounts.


Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced National Account Manager to oversee and expand the presence of our client's beverage products across major national accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and account management within the consumer goods or beverage industry, demonstrating exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and relationship-building abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with key national accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth within assigned accounts.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both the client and the company.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, assess competitor activity, and understand consumer trends to inform sales strategies.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and product development, to align efforts and ensure seamless execution of account plans.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track account performance, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets for promotional activities and trade marketing, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Customer Insights: Gather and leverage customer insights to drive product development and marketing initiatives tailored to the needs of national accounts.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to promote products and build industry connections.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within the beverage or consumer goods industry, with a proven track record of managing national accounts.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, market analysis, and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of trade marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with major retail chains and distributors.
  • Familiarity with the beverage industry’s regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and meet/exceed targets.
