This is a highly visible position where you will be instrumental in the growth of the business through increasing European sales. Reporting to the MD, this is a senior business development role with hands on responsibility for winning new business and identifying opportunities with existing customers. Success in this role will not just be recognised financially through the generous commission scheme, but also through positional growth within the company.
Head of Sales and Strategic Partnerships - Duties:
- Identifying, qualifying, and building strategic partnerships with key players in the industry, with the objectives of closing/growing business and achieving financial targets.
- Build on existing European customer relationships, creating sales plans to exploit all opportunities for growth.
- Cultivating new business through a solution selling approach and reaching commercial agreements to on-board them as new customers.
- Identifying, engaging and developing new top-tier prospect accounts to create sales pipeline to meet growth expectations.
- Responsible for researching:
o Emerging market applications and identify target accounts to deliver accelerated sales growth
o market requirements for new products/solutions & work closely with the Engineering and Innovation team to develop business cases.
- Managing local marketing campaigns with sales channel partners and supporting local Trade Show activity.
- Understanding international market opportunities, trends, local approvals/regulations and competitor activity
- Delivering accurate weekly forecasts
- suitable potential new customers across Germany, Italy, Spain and France
Head of Sales and Strategic Partnerships - The Rewards:
Salary: c£65,000 - c75.000pa basic OTE £100kBenefits: Uncapped Commission (1st year OTE 30K), company car allowance, pension, bonus, etc. Guaranteed commission whilst onboardingHours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible start/finish times. Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week in office, 2 days working from homeTravel: Approx. 1 overseas trip per quarter to visit existing and potential customers in Europe - Germany, France, Spain and Italy.
Head of Sales and Strategic Partnerships - The Person:
- This role will suit an ambitious, commercially astute sales professional with manufacturing sector experience, seeking an opportunity to have a big impact. Knowledge of industrial OEM market is desirable.
- A proven sales track record from planning to closing with experience of new business wins, cross selling to existing customers
- Be able to demonstrate success in driving growth specifically in the European market.
- You’ll be a first-rate communicator able to build effective relationships through listening, communicating and presenting, and influencing credibly and effectively at all organisational levels.
- Unwavering commitment to high service standards.
- You will be a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with colleagues at all levels in the business.
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative, innovative and a forward thinker.
- Language skills a bonus
