Assistant Group Payroll Manager

- Assist the Group Payroll Services Manager to assess long term payroll trends
- Prepare and complete audits and reporting when due
- Liaising with high-level stakeholders and management
- Handle and resolve payroll queries in a timely manner and with care
- Revise and process auto-enrolment for our company pension scheme
- Oversee our annual P11D process and submissions to HMRC
- Analyse, process and report on Gender Pay Gap
- Revise the team’s Standing Operating Practices (SOPs) to ensure their actions reflect the written processes, current legislation, and the new HR and Payroll system
- Assist in compliance with all the payroll financial and legal requirements and obligations
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly payroll statistics
- Assist with the recruitment and development of team members
- Assist in developing plans for team activities to include payroll strategy to achieve agreed targets and effective planning
- Maintain accurate payroll, associated financial and other records and activities
- Must have experience in leading and managing a team
- Solid experience working in a high volume group payroll function with end-to-end payroll lifecycles
- Excellent customer service and attention to detail
- Must have excellent stakeholder management
