As Finance Manager you will oversee the full Finance function – with an off site bookkeeper, you will have the opportunity to put your own stamp on processes and improve things within the business. You will also work closely with US entity of the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant who is looking make a step up and gain invaluable experience in an SME setting.
Duties will include:
- Manage internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
- Manage budgets and prepare forecasting reports.
- Analyse financial reports and present findings to the board.
- Prepare and present statutory accounts.
- Lead the payroll, VAT and HMRC processes team.
- Manage the purchase and sales ledger teams.
- Responsibility for accounts receivable and payable ledgers.
- Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and accounting entries.
- Manage audit processes of current systems.
- Monitor financial details to ensure legal requirements are met.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices
- Project costings and cost control
The ideal Candidate will be qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA - but QBE Candidates will be considered if experience is relevant. You will need to have previous experience managing staff and overseeing aspects of a Finance function.
You will need to have a tenacious attitude and be proactive with your own work load
