JOB PURPOSE

As a Business Development Associate, you are vital for Welcomm’s continued growth. You will self-sufficiently look after the acquisition of new business, generating a sustainable high-quality pipeline of opportunities and nurturing them into lasting relationships and successful sales though tailored strategy that meets customer’s unique needs and increases Welcomm’s revenue and long-term success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively research and identify potential business opportunities, building a pipeline of high-quality leads that translate into self-sat meetings with potential customers.
- Initiate contact with prospective customers, creating leads by making smart use of various channels, including cold calling, email marketing and social media.
- Assess the needs and pain points of potential customers, facilitating the creation of a tailored sales strategy in future meetings.
- Effectively present Welcomm's value proposition to spark interest and encourage customers to learn more about our services.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with potential customers, positioning Welcomm as their first choice when existing contracts are expiring, and they are looking for new solutions.
- Responsible for thoroughly preparing for all meetings, incorporating relevant insights and background information gathered from the initial need find to your sales strategies.
- Manage meetings with prospective customers, face-2-face and through Teams to understand their requirements and present appropriate business solutions, coordinating with product specialist for expertise as required.
- Liaise with Sales Admin to build appropriate quotes that meet the customers’ expectations.
- Negotiate with customers and close on business contracts to maximise Welcomm’s GP, then onboard acquired business and manage the account for a period of 12 month.
- Collaborate effectively across all Welcomm teams to ensure we deliver a seamless experience to all customers.
- Identify any cross or upsell opportunities and conduct account reviews in line with Welcomm’s contact strategy.
- Nurture strong relationships with customers, keeping regular contact once they are onboarded.
EDUCATION and SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid UK Driving License (Essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline (Beneficial but not required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Essential)
- Cold-calling experience (Essential)
- Sales and negotiating skills (Essential)
- Proven track record in a Business Development position (Essential)
- Industry knowledge and experience with CRM systems (Beneficial but not required)
