An exciting opportunity is available to join one of the UK's leading foodservice providers as Business Development Manager. You will be part of a wider sales team covering Wiltshire, Hampshire, Somerset and Dorset.

Title: Business Development Manager

Basic Salary: Circa £42,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus and benefits

As the Business Development Manager your main responsibilities are:

  • Work with existing clients by region creating opportunities to increase and develop profitable business growth
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in order to increase market share and size of the market within the region.
  • Manage the relationship with the customer and ensure all queries and issues are dealt with in order to retain the customer's long-term loyalty.

Requirements pf the Business Development Manager:

  • Driven, positive, self-motivated, ambitious individual
  • Strong organisational and account management skills
  • Preferred experience in a field sales role
  • Experience of food and/or product sales (either foodservice, retail, supply side)
  • Excellent understanding of foodservice/hospitality/catering industry, external market and a broad commercial understanding
  • Excellent customer knowledge and contacts in order to deliver new opportunities
  • Skill and experience at building strong relationships with customers
  • Exceptional selling and influencing skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Current driving licence and ability to work across the region as required for customer base
