The Role:

We're seeking a driven and results-oriented Inside Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth by developing and nurturing relationships with new and existing customers. You'll leverage your strong communication and problem-solving skills to identify customer needs, present our tailored solutions, and convert inquiries into profitable business.


Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads and identify sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on our comprehensive range of freight forwarding services (air, ocean, road)
  • Generate quotes and proposals, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability
  • Process orders and ensure smooth execution with our operations team
  • Manage customer accounts and proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics
  • Provide excellent customer service and build long-term partnerships


Qualifications:

  • Experience in a sales role, preferably within the logistics or freight forwarding industry
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business goals
  • Strong understanding of international trade and freight forwarding processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with customers
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A positive and results-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
  • CargoWise experience is a bonus
