Role: Part-Time Children’s Support Worker / Casual WorkerSalary: £17.00 - £19.00 per hourHourly Pay Rates:£17.00 Weekdays£19.00 Weekends£25 payment for any shifts picked up with less than 24 hours’ noticeOverview of the Role:The client is a 7-year-old boy who is intellectually very able. He communicates using both high-tech and low-tech communication devices. He attends a mainstream school with two-to-one support (home-based carers do not support him at school).He requires two-to-one support to accommodate his moving and handling needs. There is a well-established therapy team that provides training on all aspects of his care. Two staff members are on shift at all times.You will have the opportunity to support the client with:·Therapy activities·His learning·Fun activities·All aspects of personal care, ensuring all his care needs are metExperience supporting a young child with cerebral palsy is essential.Hours of Work:Term Time Only (39 weeks):Tuesdays: 2.30pm – 7.00pm1 weekend in 4: Saturdays and Sundays, 7.00am – 7.00pmRotas are done three months in advance.We are also looking for casual workers to cover sickness and holidays as and when needed.Additional Requirements:You must have a full driving licence and be able to drive the client’s adapted vehicle.Please be aware there is no smoking/vaping while working with the client or at the home address.Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service is required.Bush & Co are acting as agents for our client.You may also have experience in the following: Support Worker, Children’s Support Worker, Personal Care Assistant, Care Assistant, Paediatric Support Worker, Childcare Worker, Special Needs Support Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant, Therapy Support Worker, Cerebral Palsy Support Worker, Home Care Worker, Disability Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Casual Care Worker, Part-Time Care Assistant etc. REF-(Apply online only)
