We are recruiting in the UK, our future Senior Sales Manager with awesome working experience and expertise of Compressors, Generators, Lighting Towers and Air equipment


As Senior Sales Manager you will be direct owner of the sales results for the business and responsible for managing a team of regional sales managers developping sales opportunities to a wide range of end customers such as rental agencies, equipment dealers, end & key account customers, etc.


This is a Home office role with regular travel to leigh's office and within UK

Preference is to be based near Leigh, Manchester or Liverpool area but not mandatory


Role & Responsibilities

Sales of Portable Power Equipment :

  • Take ownership of sales results for the business.
  • Lead the sales team to reach the regional targets.
  • Search for opportunities of business growth through customer and product portfolio.
  • Support and manage Key Accounts business directly


Business strategy :

  • Develop and implement a Sales & Marketing strategy for the area for all Portable Power products.
  • Constant development of the strategy allowing the business to improve significantly distribution channels.
  • Customer portfolio evaluation for expansion and maintenance.
  • Establish new methods of operational excellence in order to effectively run the sales and business processes.


Sales plans set up and realization :

  • Establish challenging but achievable sales plans and execution of those, by constant monitoring the progress achieved.
  • Develop sales campaigns for direct accounts and strategic resale partners and dealers.
  • Define and recommend market opportunities by product line, market segment and geographical area.


People Management :

  • Manage a sales force of Regional Sales Managers : motivate, mentor and advise, to ensure targets are met through effective and efficient initiatives
  • Manage & control parts and service targets to be attained.
  • Run regular sessions for personal evaluations and support for growth.


Finance & Reporting :

  • Produce monthly results and reports, financial reporting and forecasting for the complete UK Portable Power (PP) business.
  • Prepare regular business plans for current and more longer terms operations (ownership of AOP)


Job Requirement

  • University degree in Sales, Mechanical engineering or any related field
  • 10+ years of relevant sales experience with an additional 5 years at managing and leading sales teams - You are a natural born leader
  • Strong expertise of Portable Power equipment, market and competition. Ability to understang technical specifications of the industry
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) - Car allowance provided
  • High customer orientation and excellent relationship builder as well as high level negotiator and an ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Strong creative approach to problem solving.
  • Highly organized, disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and adhere to deadlines while keeping strong attention to detail.
  • Able to motivate and coordinate the activities of others.
  • Ability to deliver change and continuous improvement in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
