  • Develop and maintain knowledge of welfare provision, benefits, and local schemes to assist customers.
  • Work constructively with partners and stakeholders to maximize service effectiveness.
  • Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service to a diverse client group.
  • Handle all enquiries and referrals for discretionary awards, budgeting, and welfare benefits.
  • Visit and interview customers to verify their circumstances.
  • Provide comprehensive replies to written enquiries and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and policy.
  • Assist with recruitment and collect statistical information for performance monitoring.
  • Manage the Client's complaints system and coordinate responses.
  • Support special projects to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained and provide cover for colleagues as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and good numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and adapting to changing IT requirements.
  • Experience in an administrative role.
