About the Role

As Learning & Development Advisor, you will support the identification of learning and development needs and the design and delivery of L&D interventions in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation. This will include providing advice to stakeholders, understanding key capability gaps and providing input into learning and development agendas. You'll be responsible for managing the full portfolio of UK Apprenticeships, ensuring best use of the levy and alignment with OUP's people strategy.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Design, deliver and embed high-quality and relevant development initiatives, creating projects plans and ensuring delivery within budget, scope and timeframes
  • Contribute to the design and development of digital learning content hosted on OUP's learning management system (LMS)
  • Facilitate a wide range of learning events both online and in-person, with a specific focus on Induction and career development programmes
  • Support the promotion and marketing of OUP's learning offer, ensuring that learning and development opportunities are communicated and signposted
  • Support analysis of learning data and evaluation of global programmes

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

With a proven Talent/L&D background, you'll have experience in identifying development needs, facilitating a range of learning experiences, with excellent project/programme management skills Essential
  • Knowledge and experience of learning theory, technologies, psychology of learning, including proven track record of designing innovative, memorable and impactful solutions to meet learning needs
  • Confident stakeholder management skills liaising with colleagues from different parts of the business, to deliver high quality L&D advice and consultation
  • Face to face and on-line learning delivery/facilitation skills
  • Analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative learning evaluation methods, analysis/interpretation of data
  • Ability to work under pressure, deliver to deadlines and follow through on goals set
  • Adaptable to change, competent managing competing priorities with pace and flexibility

Desirable
  • The technical proficiency to create online learning solutions / experience of e-learning and content creation software and use of learning management systems
  • Experience of managing training delivered via the UK Apprenticeship Scheme
