Chamomile is opening soon in London, focusing on offering exceptional natural wines along with a curated selection of beer, sake, and spirits. We are seeking a full-time Wine Manager to enhance our guests' experience with expert wine recommendations and service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, excellent customer service skills, and experience in a similar role. If you are training as a sommelier, have experience in the wine industry, or simply have a great passion and talent for working with wine, apply For excellent candidates, there is the potential to turn this into a general manager role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests with wine selection and provide detailed descriptions of wines.
  • Ensure proper serving techniques and presentation.
  • Train/educate other serving staff on proper pouring techniques, wine education, and other elements of being an effective wine server.
  • Work with vendors to conduct wine tastings and events.
  • Work with the owner to communicate stock levels, coordinate new orders, and craft the drinks menu.
  • Liaise with vendors to explore, taste, and source new wine offerings.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the wine industry preferred, with a focus on understanding and communicating tasting notes, varietals, customer recommendations, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, regions, and varietals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of beer and sake preferred but not essential.
  • Authorization to work in the UK.
