SENDCo OUTSTANDING Primary School Islington

A prestigious primary school in Islington is seeking an experienced SENDCo to lead the provision for students with special educational needs. This large inclusive primary school in Islington serves children aged 3 to 11 and has been recognized for its nurturing and supportive environment particularly in its SEN provision. Responsibilities
  • Oversee the SEN provision ensuring tailored support for students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and external agencies to develop effective SEN strategies and support plans.
  • Lead the SEN team providing guidance and professional development for staff on best practices in SEN.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEN students to ensure compliance with national and school standards.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Qualified SENDCo with a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it).
  • Experience working with children with a diverse range of special educational needs.
  • Strong leadership organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to inclusion.
  • A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
