SENDCo Role Overview

Horizon Teachers Careers is seeking an experienced SENDCo to join a two-form entry Primary school in the heart of Islington. As the SENDCo, you will become a member of the Senior Leadership Team, shaping and overseeing whole school procedures, policies, and ways of learning. You will support staff in their development as SEN Teachers and leaders, taking the lead on Safeguarding and advising colleagues on policies in all areas of the curriculum with regards to Inclusion.

About You
  • You must have worked as a Primary Teacher and have a relevant Degree.
  • Desirable - Level 5 Safeguarding Qualification, and National award for SEND Co-ordination/NPQSEN.
  • Evidence of successful leadership and teaching experience.
  • Experience of managing safeguarding/SEND in a school.
