About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) to join our team at Islington Council. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing our SEND strategy, ensuring that all children and young people with SEND receive the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in primary education, with a minimum of five years' experience in teaching and a proven track record of leading and managing SEND provision. You will be passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and will have a deep understanding of the needs of children with SEND.

As a SENDCo, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating our SEND provision, working closely with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that all children receive the support they need. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to SEND, as well as providing training and support to staff.
