SENDCo Job Opportunity
A highly skilled and dedicated SENDCo is sought by a leading primary school in Wandsworth to oversee the provision for students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure all children receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the SEN team and provide guidance, training, and professional development for staff in relation to SEN best practices.
- Oversee the SEN provision throughout the school, ensuring that students with special educational needs receive tailored support and interventions.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective SEN strategies and support plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEN students and ensure compliance with national and school standards.
Requirements
- A qualified SENDCo with a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it).
- Experience working with children with a wide range of special educational needs.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A clear DBS check and legal right to work in the UK.
