Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Council has an ambitious strategy for meeting housing need and addressing homelessness through developing sustainable housing solutions for our communities. This includes the implementation of our Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan “Home at the Heart”.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Housing Development and Homeless Team by assisting the Senior Housing Development Officers by contributing to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the Council’s housing strategies and plans, taking account of the national policy agenda, legislative requirements and corporate priorities.

We are looking for a high quality individual to assist with the delivery of strategies as Strategic Housing Authority role who will bring added value to a dynamic Housing Development and Homelessness Team. The position will require you to work with a broad range of internal and some external stakeholders to shape and implement policies and solutions that will meet our stated objectives. You will have a commitment to achieving best value and meeting wider cross service outcomes, strong communication skills, IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

West Dunbartonshire offers a family friendly working environment, endeavours to ensure a work life balance and welcomes applications from employees requiring flexibility. This is a hybrid role which means only partial time in the office but predominantly working from home.

If you are a dedicated housing professional with a Level 4/5 in Housing Studies or relevant degree and successful experience working in a strategic housing environment with an innovative and can do approach to delivering sustainable housing solutions, we look forward to receiving your application.
