**Graduate Trainee Software Developer**

A leading software house based in Dumbarton with cutting edge Customer Relationship Management and Telephony systems to a variety of sectors involved in managing customer engagement. With almost 20 years’ experience in the field, the company has an expanding client base with ongoing technical requirements that they fulfil.

The company also has a key focus on continuing to innovate its software offerings by utilising modern technologies to deliver enhanced user interaction and functionality.

**About the Role**:
DDI Software are looking for a driven graduate to join their buzzing team. You will form part of a dynamic and growing software development team and play a key role in the ongoing development and maintenance of the software products.

Furthermore, you will be able to progress at a rapid pace with the support of the rest of the team. Some major ongoing projects that you could be involved in include the redevelopment of the flagship product to a modern web front end, development of client required ad hoc work and the relaunch of our flagship telephony solution.

If you are a keen learner, you will gain experience in a wide range of technologies including; web development, database design, maintenance and configuration, telephony systems and their development and project management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Skill up and gain detailed knowledge of the software products developed and maintained by DDI
- Skill up on latest web development environments and technologies
- Enhance the user experience by developing modern web front ends for our solutions
- Project manage and deliver our clients’ software requirements
- Assist in the ongoing database design, configuration and maintenance of the database element of our software solutions
- Help deliver innovation proactively through enhancing current solutions and developing new ones

**Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience**:

- Knowledge of programming/software development.
- Knowledge of database structures.
- Windows Operating Systems.
- Ability to plan projects and meet target dates.
- Project Management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously or in a team.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**:

- Progress Openedge.
- Knowledge of Asterisk open source PBX.
- IT Security.
- Knowledge of Linux based Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Progress Openedge databases.

**Programming experience in**:

- Angular
- Bootstrap
- JavaScript
- jQuery
- HTML5/CSS
- Node.js
