**About the Role**
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a skilled professional to join our Member Services department within the Pensions Section. As a Pensions Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Administer the Local Government Pension Scheme, ensuring accurate and timely processing of member queries and benefits.
- Develop a deep understanding of complex legislation and terminology related to the pension scheme.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve high levels of service and meet performance targets.
- Utilize IT systems, including the Local Government Pension Scheme administration system and electronic document management system, to manage and process member information.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to member inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
**Requirements**
- Proven experience in pension administration, with a strong understanding of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
