About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pensions Administrator to join our Member Services team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the Local Government Pension Scheme, ensuring accurate and timely processing of member benefits.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of complex legislation and terminology related to pensions administration.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve targets and meet deadlines, utilizing effective communication and organizational skills.
- Utilize IT systems, including the Local Government Pension Scheme administration system and electronic document management system, to efficiently manage and process member data.
Requirements
- Experience in pensions administration, preferably within a local government setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with members and colleagues.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and specialized pension administration software.
- A good standard of education, including Maths and English.
