Job description

Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) Regional Delivery � Accommodation is responsible for providing Service Family Accommodation (SFA) and managing Single Living Accommodation (SLA) worldwide. This includes the management of around 75,000 SFA properties and 150,000 bed spaces; major SFA upgrades and other improvements in the UK; providing a comprehensive SFA repair and maintenance service in the UK; managing SFA allocation worldwide; and overseeing the move in and move out of personnel from SFA properties worldwide This exciting, challenging opportunity is to join the new created team for the Modernised Accommodation Offer � Private Rental Scheme. The role would see you join the Homes Support Services (HSS) team. The DIO Deputy Occupancy Support Manager for the Private Rental Scheme (PRS) key responsibility is for the allocation of Families Accommodation.

Person specification

Leadership and Management of the Service Delivery

Promote strong working relationships both within the team and with other colleagues across DIO and MoD

Line Management activities for the Private Rental Scheme Banding Administrative Officers

Develop team members and assist line managers in delivering departmental goals


Performance Management and Contractual Interpretation

Provision of advice on policy and process. Ensure Industry Partner conforms to Joint Services Publication Accommodation Policy

Monitor Industry Partner performance and engage to resolve any escalated issues

Analysing data and interrogation of management information, which could see travel to the Industry Partner Home Service location for performance management, progress meetings and collaboration for the Modernised Accommodation Offer

Regular engagement will be needed with other DIO Teams and key Stakeholders (Substitute Accommodation Team, Housing Colonel Teams, Accommodation Support Cell, Industry Partners)

Provide guidance on activities relating to the Modernised Accommodation Offer rental banding for the Private Rental Scheme Completion of Non-Availability Certificates for Service Personnel who are subject to Private Rental Scheme routing for the Modernised Accommodation Offer

Complete additional administration for activities relating to Private Rental Scheme rental banding

Due to the current operational pause the successful applicant will be seconded within Accommodation to support other related teams.

The duty station for this role will be RAF Wyton. However, DIO support flexible and hybrid working. Applications from other locations are invited to apply with an expectation there will be some requirement to work and travel to RAF Wyton

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.� This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.

External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
