As a Procurement Apprentice you will undertake a course of study alongside gaining lots of practical experience which will start you on a pathway to a career as a procurement professional. You will work alongside our high performing Procurement Team, supporting contracting activities and supplier management across the business.

We also encourage all our colleagues to make an impact in their local communities, by giving them five fully paid days per year to volunteer, fundraise or do other charitable work through Sage Foundation.

Key Responsibilities

What will you gain exposure to?

This role in Procurement will give the apprentice full visibility of our function to help them develop some fundamental skills, knowledge and experience not just within Procurement but the wider organisation to help them build a successful future. The apprentice will carry out a range of duties in order to support source to contract management:

• Be responsible, with support, for low value sourcing activities and negotiations.
• Learn from highly experienced procurement professionals.
• Understand the main Procurement interactions with the business and identify any issues and/or opportunities to improve through data or customer feedback.
• Carry out process support activities to enable the procurement team to work in a high performing manner.
• Support supplier onboarding activities including new supplier setup and ongoing due diligence.
• Co-ordinate contract execution activities for procurement managers/senior managers
• Maintain up to date information within the procurement tools and processes.
• Triage incoming requests from internal customers and respond/re-direct queries accordingly, demonstrating extraordinary customer service at all times.
• Build and maintain excellent professional relationships. This includes building relationships with colleagues in our international offices and external supplier contacts.
• Deal with commercially sensitive correspondence in a confidential manner.
• Support sustainable supply chain activities including effective data management.
• Handle on-going and ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects as required.

Entry Requirements:

• You will need five 9-4 GCSE passes (including Maths and English) to thrive in this role, and to qualify for the apprenticeship you will be enrolled on to.
