Job Description
Brakes have an opportunity for a Supply Chain Support Desk Coordinator to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. The role is based at our Ashford office and reports to the Supply Chain Support Desk Manager.
As the Supply Chain Support Desk Coordinator you will be the single point of contact for all internal Supply Chain queries from several different stakeholders across the business. The purpose of this role is to provide clear and concise information on these queries as well as proactively provide up to date information on current issues.
Every day Brakes delivers 1.5 million foodservice products from 2,000 trucks to thousands of restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools, hospitals and care homes in every corner of the UK. Our customers depend on us for exceptional food and service, and our 6,000-strong workforce is dedicated and proud to be part of this vital provision.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the Supply Chain support desk mailbox & phonelines.
- Understand and prioritise issues whilst ensuring resolution targets are achieved.
- Run daily reporting for Supply Chain to support service.
- Ensure communication is clear and concise when being shared with customers.
- To build relationships with customers and maintain confidence between Supply Chain and key stakeholders
- Assist in reaching Supply Chain & Service targets with order amendments, including substitutions for key customers as well as helping to manage the ZY, monitoring large orders and processing forecast insight.

You will need:
- Knowledge or experience of Supply Chain desirable but not essential.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of SAP
- Ability to thrive in a very busy, demanding, and pressurised environment.
- Ability to handle a lot of data/calls and be able to prioritise workload
- People orientated
- Ability to work with all stakeholders in our business
