Early Years Sufficiency and Data Officer

The Early Years’ Service provides support to schools and private, voluntary and independent sector early year’s providers. It also provides information and support through the Families Information Services.
We are looking for a highly motivated, efficient individual with experience of working in a fast-paced administrative environment. Candidates will have excellent ICT skills and the proven ability to use their initiative and judgement to resolve problems.
The successful candidate will need to be forward thinking and creative and work in collaboration with a range of internal and external partners, including schools and private and voluntary sector early year’s education providers, parents and carers.
The team are currently hybrid working, however the candidate needs to be able to work at County Hall, Matlock and visit early years providers in Derbyshire as and when required.
What will I be doing?
Providing and analysing data to support robust planning to meet the local authority’s legal duty under Section 6 of the Childcare Act 2006 in relation to childcare sufficiency for children 0 – 14 years (19 years with a disability). Assisting the local authority to meet the requirements of the National Wraparound Childcare Programme Assisting with the production and publishing of the Annual Childcare Sufficiency Assessment. Undertaking local sufficiency assessments to determine supply and demand of early years and childcare provision.Skills and experience we are looking for:
Experience of extracting, analysing and presenting data Experience of working at a high level in a customer-focussed environment Excellent communication skills Confident IT skills in a range of software packages Sound knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team Ability to problem solve NVQ Level 3 qualification or relevant experienceWhat we can offer:
