Data Protection Consultant

The Education Data Hub is looking to recruit to a permanent post in the Data Protection for Schools Team. We are looking for a passionate professional to join our growing service and support the Data Protection Team in delivering advice and guidance to our schools on the practical application of the data protection legislation in a school and multi-academy trust setting.
This role will see the successful candidate contributing to the performance of our teams’ duties as Data Protection Officer for the schools that subscribe to our Data Protection service, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of our service offerings. The post holder will also be taking ownership of various projects and service delivery areas.
Experience, knowledge, and awareness of working with Information Requests, especially Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests, along with a working knowledge and in-depth understanding of the data protection legislation and how to apply it in a school are important aspects of what we are looking for in this new team member.
We are seeking to appoint a proactive, highly motivated individual, with enthusiasm, drive, and the ability to develop a strong working relationship with schools across the country. Problem solving and organisational skills are integral for the role as well as having the ability to be flexible.
