We have an amazing opportunity for aManagement Accountantin the Financial Accounting team, reporting to the Senior Management Accountant. The Financial Accounting team take responsibility for the running of the companys financial accounting function, lease accounting, non-current assets, taxation, compliance, statutory reporting, and consolidation.
The key focus of your role will be to provide timely insight into the performance of the business through the provision of high-quality management information. What you will be doing:
Management and development responsibility for an Assistant Management Accountant and Accounts AssistantIn conjunction with the rest of the management accounting team, complete all month-end tasks on a timely and accurate basisEnsure all P&Ls, the balance sheet and cash flow as well as all supporting management information for numerous entities, including foreign subsidiaries, are completed on a timely, accurate and high-quality basisComplete project reporting, sales margin reports and all other monthly reporting as well as financial KPIs to drive margin and working capital improvementsReconcile all deferred and accrued balance sheet accounts, ensuring timely analysis of reconciliations of balances at a customer and project levelInvolvement in key areas such as Non-Recurring Revenue, Stock, Accruals, Prepayments as well as Margin ReportingPrepare all Balance Sheet Reconciliations monthly, and where relevant review reconciliations done by other team membersAssist in business partnering and providing valuable reporting to other departments in the businessAssist with the implementation of any process or system improvementsAssist in the budget process, ensuring an accurate and high-quality budget is produced within the agreed timelines and then support any subsequent re-forecastsWork on Ad hoc projects as required by Senior Management Accountant
What were looking for:
Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or proven track record through demonstrable experienceDemonstrable experience working in a management accounting team, in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to prepare full-cycle management accounts and adhere to month-end processes with precision and proficiencyDetailed knowledge of FRS101 and IFRS accounting standardsExperience with ERP systemsAdvanced user of ExcelExcellent management and communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure and tight deadlinesProven ability to implement systems, processes, and controls
It would be desirable if you have:
Experience in project accountingExperience of IFS (ERP system)
