We are looking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer service for children and their families, for three secondary academies within the Pope Francis Catholic Multi Academy Trust (Sacred Heart Catholic Academy, Crosby, The Salesian Academy of St John Bosco, Bootle and St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic Academy, Whiston) ensuring children receive education appropriate to their needs, by driving the highest possible attendance regular attendance at school or otherwise.

To be responsible for the planning development, design, organisation and monitoring of whole Secondary Schools attendance procedures and policies to ensure a consistent Trust-wide focus on students' attendance, using data and benchmarks to measure and monitor progress and set targets which will promote and sustain improvement.

We are the first of the permanent Catholic Multi Academy Trusts (CMATs) being set up by the Archdiocese of Liverpool. Each school within the Archdiocese will be given the opportunity to join one of these trusts. We currently have three secondary schools within our Trust with four primary schools undergoing due diligence and an identified target date of conversion in September 2024.

This is clearly an exciting time for the Trust, and we are the pathfinder trust for the Archdiocese. This is an outstanding opportunity for a well-qualified candidate to join a growing trust, with a clear path for expansion, whilst at the same time, being able to have a key role in shaping the infrastructure and support in the schools that join.
