About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for a committed and empathetic Student Support Facilitator to join our team and provide essential support within educational institutions across Liverpool. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the well-being and emotional growth of students, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group support to students, addressing emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
- Design and execute strategies aimed at improving student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and external organizations to formulate customized support plans for students.
- Assist in the implementation of personal development initiatives, including mental health awareness, anti-bullying campaigns, and life skills training.
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining precise records of interventions and outcomes.
- Support the safeguarding team in recognizing and managing child protection concerns, ensuring the safety and welfare of all students.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive school atmosphere, fostering respect and understanding among students.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational context is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience, with a genuine passion for supporting young individuals.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively, managing a diverse workload with a composed and professional demeanor.
- A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or social work is advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
