About the Role
We are seeking a Deputy Head of International Student Recruitment to join the Global Engagement team at Queen Mary University of London. The Global Engagement Office (GEO), part of the External Relations Directorate, is responsible for recruiting international students, promoting student mobility for short-term study opportunities, and leading Queen Mary's international partnership initiatives.
The successful candidate will be one of two Deputy Heads within the International Student Recruitment team. The postholder will manage several staff based in London and oversee our operations in the US. This role involves managing staff overseas, requiring regular travel and representation of the University both internationally and within the UK.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective international student recruitment strategies.
- Manage and support a team of recruitment staff in London and the US.
- Analyse recruitment data to inform and optimize strategies.
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent Queen Mary University at international and domestic events.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of success in student recruitment within higher education. You will have experience in building relationships with stakeholders, analysing data for decision-making, and leading and influencing a team.
Key qualifications and skills include:
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience in international student recruitment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
