Job Title: Student Engagement and Communications Deputy Head

This is a hybrid role that requires a unique blend of marketing, communications, and student engagement expertise. As the Student Engagement and Communications Deputy Head, you will play a key role in shaping the student experience at the University of the Arts London (UAL).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to engage prospective students and support their journey from discovery to enrolment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the university to ensure consistent and effective communication across all channels.
  • Plan, create, and evaluate communication activities to support student recruitment and engagement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on student engagement and recruitment communications to stakeholders.
  • Chair the enrolment communications subgroup to lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of enrolment communications.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in higher education marketing and recruitment, specifically in student engagement and conversion.
  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to create engaging content for prospective students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead projects to deliver results.
