We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a Communication Support Worker to join our dedicated, growing team within the Inclusion Department here at The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group. This is a specialist and varied role where you will provide appropriate non-teaching support to our D/deaf and Hard of Hearing learners to support them to reach their potential.

As a Communication Support Worker, you will provide D/deaf and Hard of Hearing learners with appropriate support using a range of communication modes and strategies as appropriate in conjunction with the SENDCO, in addition to adapting and proofreading course material as required.

You should have previous experience of working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners, be qualified to Level 3 in BSL and have the ability to take notes for learners. Level 2 BSL will be considered, your skills will be assessed at interview and a there must be a commitment to achieving Level 3 during your first year.
