Job Description

Esland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Children's Home Support Worker to join our team in a new solo service providing therapeutic care for a young person in Wakefield.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding levels of childcare and support to our young people, enabling them to achieve amazing outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a warm and supportive work environment within a small, close-knit household.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking a therapeutic and person-centered approach to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and best practice.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, including BILD accredited induction training, to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a children's residential care home.
  • A Level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (or at least 50% complete).
  • A full driving license issued in the UK.
  • Full right to work in the UK with no restrictions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations, and best practice.
  • Values aligned with Esland's, including a therapeutic and person-centered approach to childcare.
  • Aged 21 or above, due to industry regulations.
